September marks the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month — a time to celebrate the histories, cultures, and contributions of Latino communities across the United States. For ENLACE, this is more than a calendar event; it is a reflection of our mission: to build bridges, foster collaboration, and create spaces where Latino voices are heard and valued.
Looking Back: August Highlights
August was a month of both reflection and celebration for ENLACE. Our Board gathered for our annual ENLACE Retreat, where we paused to evaluate our work, strengthen connections, and plan together for a year of growth and success. It was a moment to acknowledge how far we have come and commit ourselves to the work ahead.
We were also proud to partner with Three Bone Theatre for their moving production of Electricidad. As Community Collaborators, we celebrated Opening Night with a tres leches cake from Manolo’s Bakery and joined audiences in experiencing a performance that was emotional, vibrant, and unforgettable. That partnership reminded us how art can open doors for dialogue, healing, and unity.
Looking Ahead: A Month of Celebration
Now, as September begins, we are excited to embrace Hispanic Heritage Month. In the coming weeks, ENLACE will highlight Latino leadership, share our community’s history, and create opportunities for connection. This is a time to celebrate the richness of who we are and to honor the journey that brought us here.
Why It Matters
Heritage is more than remembering the past; it is about living our values today and ensuring that the next generation has pathways to thrive. ENLACE is committed to continuing this work — not just this month, but every day.
As we enter this season of celebration and reflection, let us carry forward the stories, resilience, and traditions that define us. Together, we will continue building the bridges that strengthen our community.
Our heritage is our strength. Our unity is our future.
